Building Cultural Consideration for workplaces

Building Cultural Consideration is a one-hour, online course that guides your staff through the key things they need to understand to meaningfully engage with First Nations peoples, cultures and histories through the workplace.

  • Covers the five key areas of understanding your staff need for respectful engagement with First Nations people and cultures, based on the Australians Together Learning Framework.

  • Puts First Nations voices front and centre, making history real and personal.

  • Has been developed with Indigenous Cultural Collaborators and Academics from across the country.

  • Provides the foundations to build cultural competence and awareness, cultural safety and trauma-informed leadership.

  • Access online or facilitate in a group setting.

This course is for workplaces that...

  • Want to start (or have started) a Reconciliation Action Plan

  • Need to develop cultural competence or awareness, or introduce cultural safety training

  • Work directly with First Nations people, or would like to connect with local Indigenous leaders

  • Want their staff to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, perspectives and cultures

  • Are looking for an effective, on-demand onboarding program for new staff

Stewart Bogle

Executive Director of Australians Together

Seeing people thrive is what drives me in life, and I'm passionate about getting to the heart of injustice and the systems and beliefs that are behind it. It's why I began my professional career as a teacher, and what led me to begin Australians Together. At Australians Together, we want to see Australian kids taught about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in a way that will change the narrative in our nation for the better. I invite you to join us on this mission.

Mark Yettica-Paulson

He was Joint Campaign Director for Recognise (the recent campaign for a National Referendum to amend the Australian Constitution to acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples), CEO of the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre and was a Senior Leader at the Office of the Registrar of Aboriginal Corporations.
